graphite drawing
Bird's eye view of a Bird over Landscape The bird here was rendered without visual references - just imagination and memory. That way it keeps it's freshness. It's a one of a kind. I invented it. After the drawing was finished it was scanned into Photoshop to superimpose it over an aerial view of a landscape. This one is a cityscape with a river winding through it. The effect seen here is a linear burn. I could have never planned colours and textures like this. Photoshop is awesome for "happy little accidents". This bird image has kind of a Native American thunderbird feeling to it - maybe a little Aztec or fiery Phoenix. Whatever it is, I like it.
